A Carer is someone who provides care for a friend or loved one without pay other than carers benefit. Our Carers are not the many paid carers who look after people as a job.
Our constitution states:
'...we support primarily but not exclusively adult and young carers residing in the Dudley borough and surrounding areas who are, or were carrying out a caring role for persons who are physically disabled, mentally disabled, elderly or ill, by the provision of practical help, advice, assistance, service, advocacy and support, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, nationality, age, disability, or race.'
Which means every single Carer. We do not discriminate. You do not have to prove you are a Carer - if you feel you are then you are, and we are there for you.
